About GuideMyHost

GuideMyHost was built for one reason: choosing a web host shouldn’t require a computer science degree or three hours of tab-hopping between conflicting “best hosting” lists.

What we do

We test, compare, and review web hosting providers so you don’t have to. Our guides fall into a few categories:

  • Best Hosting For… — recommendations matched to a specific use case, platform, budget, or industry (blogs, WordPress, online stores, small business sites, and more)
  • Reviews — in-depth looks at individual hosting providers, covering pricing, performance, support, and who each one is actually a good fit for
  • Compare Hosts — head-to-head comparisons between two providers, so you can see the real trade-offs side by side
  • Tutorials — step-by-step guides for setting up, migrating, and managing your hosting once you’ve picked one

How we evaluate hosting providers

We look at the factors that actually affect your website day to day:

  • Uptime and reliability — how consistently a host keeps sites online
  • Speed — page load times and server response under real conditions
  • Pricing — including renewal rates, not just the first-term discount
  • Support — how responsive and knowledgeable a provider’s support actually is
  • Ease of use — control panel quality, setup process, and how beginner-friendly the experience is

A note on affiliate links

Some of the links on GuideMyHost are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up through them — at no extra cost to you. This never affects which providers we recommend or how we rate them. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
